Can someone take a look at my homepage and tell me what's up.
For some reason, my homepage is not appearing as it should. The images are faded and the text is not as it should be. Is this a compatability issue? And if so, how can I fix it?
Is there, perhaps, another way to link to the styles.css sheet that I have or would that not do it? It shows up correctly on my laptop but not my desktop.

I second that, with the exception that in firefox your drop shadow doesn't show up on the bottom quarter on the right.

Are you using opacity or filter commands in your CSS style Sheet? Usually if you give a div or a table the opacity: 0.6 or filter: alpha(opacity=60) which are the same, one for IE and one for MOZ, it will fade out text and images. But then again I could be wrong.

This sounds to me like the contrast on your monitors is the difference.
Also if your running an older version of windows on one of these computers, or it is lower spec, you might not have xp's font smoothing enabled which would alter the look.
If the laptop is an Apple then it will definetly look different because it has really nice anti-aliasing applied to its fonts.

Hi rtpHarry,
it's nice of you to help out..... but if you'll check the date, the original question was posted over a year ago.
Rightly or wrongly, it's often considered poor form to dig up, and reply to old threads - but we appreciate you meant well!!
There is a ton of useful info buried in this forum though......
Cheers,
Paz.
