Hoping someone can help me. MSN has both the .com and index.html version of my home page listed in their index. I understand that this can lead to duplicate content issues. I contacted my server and he says that I can't use any of the url code re-writes because I am not on a dedicated server.

I would like to get this fixed but don't know how.

Any suggestions.

u can redirect index.htm to main url page..may be it help u

redirect the other one to the page that you prefer the more. or ask MSN by re-submitting your less preferred page with the same URL as your preferred page.

Well, I don't think this could give you any problem - its a common problem even in Google, but if you think its a problem, then as everybody says - redirection can help it....

Hi Welcome to the forum.

I'd get new hosting because this is very unusual. You shouldn't have to have dedicated hosting to be able to set up an htaccess.
