Will Google stay the best search engine or is it time to move over for MSN

Following my thread here, I want to know what do you think about Google are they going to be around for much longer or will they drop, word has it that Microsoft have been spending a lot of money on there search engine MSN, but will they really be able to pull off what Google has?
I think they could have a big chance if they play there cards right.

I'm not sure I agree that Google will lose their 70-80% of the search market any time soon. With MS incorporating Live Search in their new Vista operating system they could well boost their market share during 2008 though.

Fat chance - MSN are years behind. When's the last time you heard someone suggest you "MSN" something? Google have made it into popular culture as the definition (for the masses) of search. A fantastic achievement. MSN might have spent some money, but from what I read Google snap up all the best university graduates - they are spending too.

Incidently, isn't spelling & grammar sort of an important attribute to have anymore (looking at previous posts in this thread). Presumably anyone posting in this forum is a "writer" of one kind or another

It will take a lot to knock Google out of the top. I don't think MSN has it.

With any major changes from Msn, Google will still be number 1 for quite a long while due to their current big lead in search.

G is top now. But im certain one day there will rise a company that will be able to rival google. Its the circle of business... it may be a loooong time before there is a worthy contender, but i think it will happen.
