Froogle optimization
Well, I just sent an email message to froogle-support at Google asking them to add my CafePress genealogy products. I have seen other CafePress items in Froogle. So, I guess they can spider those sites.
Has anyone ever gotten their products listed by just sending them an email to suggest a site? Or, is everyone submitting a data feed that is in a tab-delimited file (whatever that is) ?
I am also interested if it's possible to optimize for Froogle.
So, I checked around and found this article which has an interview with some Froogle expert. It's pretty good, take a look.....

Hello-
I did the same last week or so. After you register with froogle then they will send you the information on how to upload. You can upload a couple of ways one is an excel file and the other is an FTP.
I haven't completed anything else as of yet.
Let me know your experiance.

I got a quick response from Google about my Froogle submission.
Hello,
Thank you for your interest in Froogle.
At this time, we're working with CafePress directly for feeds from all of
their stores. If your products fail to turn up in Froogle's search results
in the near future, please contact CafePress and let them know.
Sincerely,
The Google Team

The only way Froogle would take anything from my client's site was with an Excel spreadsheet. But the best part is, every week I make the client change some text on the description or pricing, and re-up it to Froogle. Since Froogle catches wind of a change, it seems to notify both Googlebot and Freshbot to come more frequently to the site.
-Highly recommended for "easy" traffic...

I just sent in my first FTP excel spreadsheet. It takes some time to set up but once you have it, all you have to do is add new products URLs.
I'm awaiting confirmation that everything went OK. I submitted this on Friday evening so I will probably hear on Monday or so.
Froogle sounds like a good way to shop.

Been submitting feeds for a while. If you have an ecomm site and don't have feed they do spider your sites and try to get the info but not as good as when you give them the feeds.

If you want to check to see that your site has been listed in Froogle type in:
store: yourstorename
It usually takes up to 2 weeks before you get listed, after that, you must upload a new file once a month to stay listed.
