Atom Feed

I have had a little idea about my blog, and getting my website pages constantly updating

I use blogger to publish a blog - but i publish it on my site for eg. mysite.com/blog.html

Anyways...i have a footer section on my site, that i would like to be able to add the latest feed from my blog

This would have to be in html

I want to be able to pull the last thread, just the title and say..the first line from it, and it to the footer, so that people are able to click on it, but it also means that every one of the 20,000 odd pages on my website will be seen as constantly changing and being updated, leading to more spidering off my site

Just an idea i have had..wondering if anyone would be able to help me on this little mission

Blogger uses ATOM feeds and not actually "rss"

Thanks in advance - any more info needed just let me know

http://www.tickermyfeed.com/

I found that, which is almost exactly what i want, but i want more of a text based one, and not scrolling, more static

that site puts them in iframe's aswell, of which it is my understanding they are really not seo friendly, and that is the whole point of my little idea, to get the serps to pick up - updates via new pages in the footer

It's an interesting tool, but the I frame & the fact that they are advertising in it makes it not good for me...but it might be fine for a non-commercial site that really isn't too concerned with the SEO benefit.

MagpieRSS provides an XML-based (expat) RSS parser in PHP.
MagpieRSS is compatible with RSS 0.9 through RSS 1.0. Also parses RSS 1.0's modules, RSS 2.0, and Atom. (with a few exceptions)

http://magpierss.sourceforge.net/

Does that help a bit more?
