I am looking for loooonnnggg list of search engines. I was wondering how many Search Engines Actually exist over the internet. I have read so many articles and also on blog that there are more then 2000 search engines and SEO company will submit for you. I don’t think that’s true. I have search over internet and fond so many address containing search engine List but in that list you will find web directories also. Like on these address:

IMO, unless it's for an article you're writing... skip the research. (smiley here) A quick check of your server logs will tell you there aren't that many that matter at all. Time would probably be better spent trying to feed the big dogs.

Try forgetting about all those names listed because you might rarely see any visitors coming from them except their bots hitting your web server all the time and 24 hours a day.

Its only the major search enignes that matter most.
