Need help choosing a name: goodapples.com or good-apples.com?
I want to register a domain name.
Let's say I want to register: goodapples.com.
My website is about apples.
I've added the word good to help make it memorable - no other reason.
My thinking, anyone searching for apples won't come accross goodapples.com (going on JUST the domain name and not for example the content which obviously will matter a great deal!).
Should I register good-apples.com instead?
I'm a complete newbie to SEO. (Wanting to learn and become an expert.)
But... I think I'm right in saying that the search engines will treat '-' characters like a space: so, anyone searching for apples will come accross good-apples.com (again, assuming the domain name as being the only criteria to search on).
Does that make any sense?
Or is the answer: register both domains?
(If I did: is it a bad thing to have one domain simply point to the other?)
Thanks.
