Content is king. With no content, there is no site.

Is content typically the focus of any site I might visit?

.....of course it is!!

There are other reasons I might visit some sites, although not often. But thats only because I'm a web designer/developer. Were it not for to check out the competition, or the content - why the hell would I use the web at all.

Sorry, I have to say that was a dumb question.

Content doesn't have to mean text or natural language.

For an adult site, the images and videos are the content.
For a site that offer stock pictures, again the images are the content.

One thing is for certain though, without content, there is no site.
